DEEPER Bio

This has to be an autobiography. How can we write objectively about ourselves?
We'll try to avoid the usual "band bio" traps of self-aggrandizement and/or self-
deprecation. So, here goes:

We're not without principles. We believe in rhythm and power ... dynamics and movement. We're pitching substance over form and are locked in and locked down. We spew the politics of self. We play rather loud (for ourselves, not for the kids ... never for the kids). We throw fastballs and sliders, and are working on our change-up. Love it live, always.

How did the band come together? Well, Bob (drums) and Eric (guitar) had first played circa 2000. In spring of 2005, they randomly reconnected at Goodman's Hardware (note the Marin reference, not coincidental) on the special bag day sale and decided to play together again. Much jamming ensued (not in the Rusted Root sense; more in the Zeppelin/Jesus Lizard sense). Things clicked. Bob had separately been collaborating with Kristy (vocals) and decided to stuff it all together -- kinda like the old Reese's Peanutbutter Cup commercial ("who put their chocolate in my peanut butter?").

It'd be wrong to call us "[insert adjective here] rock". Let's just leave it at "Rock music". It's OK if you drink a beer and light your cigs. We want you to have fun and enjoy the rock. See, we're not snobbish - - we really care about you getting your rock fix.
